Who we are

This Privacy Policy explains how Lean Six Search Group(“LSS”, “we”, “our”, “us”) handles personal information collected through this website, our executive search services, and related activities. Our headquarters is in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. We operate globally and may process personal information in any of the jurisdictions where we maintain offices or service providers.
If you have any questions about this policy or how your information is used, contact us at hello@leansixsearch.com.

Information we collect

We collect personal information that you provide to us directly, that we obtain through our work, and that we gather automatically when you use our website.
From candidates: name, contact details, CV / resume content, professional history, references, compensation expectations, and any other information you choose to submit through our forms or share with a search consultant.
From clients: name, business contact details, role briefs, organisational information, and any other information you share when engaging us on a search.
From third parties: we may receive additional information about candidates from referees, public professional profiles (e.g. LinkedIn), and recruitment intermediaries, where this is permitted by law.
Automatically: when you visit this website, we collect technical information such as your IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and similar usage data through cookies and analytics. See our Cookie Policy for detail.

Why we use your information

We use personal information to:
  • Provide executive search services to our clients
  • Assess candidates against client briefs and present qualified candidates for consideration
  • Communicate with candidates, clients, and prospective contacts about active and future opportunities
  • Maintain and improve our website and services
  • Comply with legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations
  • Detect and prevent fraud or misuse of our services
Where applicable laws require a lawful basis (e.g. GDPR), we rely on legitimate interests (e.g. running our search business), contractual necessity (e.g. delivering a search we’ve been engaged on), legal obligation, or consent where appropriate.

Who we share information with

Clients: with candidate consent, we share candidate profiles, CVs, and assessments with clients considering them for a role.
Within the LSS group: we may share information across our global offices to deliver searches that involve multiple regions.
Service providers: we work with trusted vendors who help us operate our business, including hosting (Vercel), analytics (Google), and email (Resend, Zoho). These providers process personal information only on our instructions and under appropriate safeguards.
Legal disclosures: we may disclose information when required by law, regulation, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of LSS or others.
We do not sell personal information.

International transfers

LSS operates globally. Personal information may be transferred to, stored in, or accessed from countries outside your country of residence, including Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, the European Union, and other jurisdictions where we have offices or service providers.
Where required by law (e.g. GDPR), we put appropriate safeguards in place for international transfers, including Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent mechanisms.

How long we keep your information

We retain candidate information for as long as is necessary to support ongoing or potential search engagements, typically up to seven years from the most recent meaningful contact, after which point we either delete or anonymise it. Client information is retained for the duration of our business relationship plus any period required by law (tax, contract).
You can request earlier deletion at any time (see Your rights below).

Depending on the jurisdiction you’re in, you may have the right to:
  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete personal information
  • Request deletion of your personal information
  • Restrict or object to certain processing activities
  • Withdraw consent where we rely on consent as the lawful basis
  • Receive a portable copy of the personal information you provided to us
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@leansixsearch.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. No transmission over the internet or storage system is fully secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

Our services are aimed at professional adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18.
